Occupational therapists (OT’s) provide instruction in environmental organization, energy conservation techniques and upper body strengthening in order to assist patient’s return to their maximum level of activity for daily living.

OT’s may recommend adaptive equipment to make activities such as dressing and bathing less strenuous and frustrating.  An occupational therapist may also show a patient or a family member how to use memory aids and strategies to combat forgetfulness through cognitive rehabilitation.
